Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst I within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Senior Financial Analyst I (Clinical Trials) is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and negotiating budgets related to clinical trial activities. A key function of this position is to perform prospective reimbursement analysis according to CMS National Coverage Determination Decisions and all applicable billing regulations, third party requirements, industry standards, intern al policies and procedures, and University policy. This position will work in conjunction with other departments at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, as well as representatives from other institutions of higher education, sponsors, attorneys, governmental agencies, philanthropic organizations and principal investigators as a necessary function of the job.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
Develops and distributes monthly financial reports to senior leadership of clinical trial revenue activity including active clinical trials and research subjects.
Assists the Director with developing and providing educational and mandatory training programs in clinical research budget and billing in accordance with state and federal standards.
Maintains working knowledge of CMS, DHHS, FDA, OHRP, NIH, OIG, GCP, HIPPA, IRB and other applicable guidelines. Reviews all applicable guidelines and incorporates information into daily work place.
Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Understands, demonstrates and models the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey core values.
Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers's compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Interest policy.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; plus a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the maintenance and review of budgetary and fiscal records including experience with computer based accounting systems in a healthcare environment.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
