Lead Attorney (Employment Litigation)
Incumbents in this position are responsible for handling complex civil litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels in both state court and federal court in the area of employment litigation and civil rights. Duties include researching and preparing for trials before judges and juries, conducting discovery, arguing motions and participating in all phases of said trials. This position provides legal advice and opinions to City departments, working directly with department heads, commissioners, and members of the Mayor’s staff.
