This position will be responsible for researching legal and regulatory issues and draft responses to written requests for interpretation of regulations. The selected candidate will prepare proposals for re-adoption of all licensing rules at least 18 months prior to their expiration dates in order to prevent expiration dates and in order to prevent expiration of rules; draft rule proposals in response to new laws that require DOH to promulgate rules to effectuate the purposes of the laws; and process healthcare facility licensure, waiver and certificate of need applications. Review and process applications seeking waivers of Department regulations. Provide regulatory guidance to program staff. This position may be eligible to
