Assoc General Counsel - HMRS
 Position SummaryColumbia's Office of the General Counsel currently consists of nineteen attorneys providing a broad array of legal services for the University.  The Office is seeking an attorney whose responsibilities will focus on employment law/human resources matters, avoiding and mitigating human resources/employment related risks and advising on and resolving personnel-related disputes.   The successful candidate will have the ability to analyze complex issues and react appropriately; exercise excellent judgment; handle multiple matters; offer counsel to University officials, faculty and researchers; use outside counsel in a cost effective manner; and work independently.
