Kaleida Health in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Child Abuse Pediatrician
We are currently seeking to fill a full time position in Child Abuse Pediatrics at Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY. The Oishei Children's Child Advocacy Program at Lee Gross Anthone Advocacy Center provides support to children who have suffered sexual abuse and/or physical abuse. The center aims to provide a safe, child-friendly place for children and their families to receive services that help to restore hope and provide healing from child abuse.
Patient Care
Oishei Children’s Hospital is committed to caring for the children in the area with a focus on providing care for those vulnerable patients who have suffered from abuse or neglect and are in need of a medical advocate.
The physician will work with protective services caseworkers, forensic interviewers, law enforcement investigators, family advocates, counselors, and attorneys. The goal is to serve our children and provide families with the support they need.
Position Requirements
Serving as a physician for our child abuse and advocacy program
Working with the clinical patient care team to support the needs of the patient and family
Supporting the patients throughout the process and working with the multidisciplinary team
Serving as an expert witness and providing testimony in child abuse and neglect cases.
Becoming established as a pediatric provider in the community to serve patients in need of care
Position Qualifications
Completion of an Accredited Pediatric Residency and additional training/experience in Child Abuse Pediatrics or child psychiatry.
MD or DO and current active license to practice medicine issued by the State of New York
