Scope of PositionThe Office of Legal Affairs is charged with facilitating the conduct of business in a legally appropriate and efficient manner and protecting the resources of the Medical Center. The Office performs the duties of loss prevention, claims management and risk management. The Office provides and coordinates legal advice, consultation, and education to Medical Center personnel by: Providing advice to staff in developing preventative measures to minimize risk; Providing advice and education for medical and other clinical staff regarding risk management and legal matters; Providing timely response to and investigation of incidents; Managing litigation; Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, approving contracts and other legal documents; Management of the insuran
