Position Summary: Provide a variety of administrative support functions to faculty, staff, students, guests and internal and/or external customers. Coordinate office functions and maintain office processes, procedures and records. May serve as first point of contact for the department while also performing administrative functions such as researching information and solving problems for faculty, staff and students, and providing program and/or event assistance.Responsible for providing daily operations support and administrative support to the Office of General Counsel. Includes maintaining an understanding and involvement in their activities and responsibilities; preparing and processing legal documents; assisting attorneys in the Office of General Counsel with responses to public records act requests, subpoenas and discovery requests; maintaining the Office of General Counsel's case management software; acting as point of contact for the office; assisting in the preparation of meetings and hearings.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year performing office support functions such as document or records management, composing or editing and formatting business documents, reception and/or customer service
Using computer software and applications for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet research
Balancing a workload of assigned tasks to meet multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience collecting and compiling data
Experience using computer information systems that manage an organizations finances, business processes, files and/or records
Identifying and defining problems/ alternatives and developing, organizing, and implementing a variety of projects and procedures
Working in an environment that requires maintaining strict confidentiality while managing highly sensitive documents and information
Knowledge of and familiarity with University of Idaho policies; business procedures, and organization structure
Handling several administrative tasks simultaneously, that require a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
