Job Summary: The Digital Forensics Investigator has the skills, knowledge and abilities of a general police investigator and additional skills, knowledge and abilities to use investigative and analytical techniques to detect and track all kinds of criminal activity that takes place on digital devices, computers, other technological devices and the internet and social media. This technical and specialized position works under the general supervision of a police captain. This position must have the highest professional, ethical and moral standards in performing this work given the often sensitive nature of the information accessed or collected as evidence.
