Jointly, the Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative (TLPI) and the Child Advocacy Program (CAP) advocate for the creation of child-serving systems that are trauma-sensitive, healing-centered and antiracist, enabling all children to learn, heal and thrive. We utilize law and policy as tools for transforming public systems like schools that impact children and families. Through our legal clinics and courses, we teach law students the theory and skills they need to become future leaders in systemic change advocacy. Our program consists of a small, close-knit, interdisciplinary team of lawyers, educators, and social workers, each deeply committed to ensuring that society provides all children what they need in order to thrive.
