The Senior Attorney for Real Estate Transactions reports to the SVP Legal and Associate General Counsel and supports MAA by actively supporting real estate transactions related to acquisitions, dispositions, and related real estate development ventures. Negotiates, drafts, and advises on purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, commercial leases, easements and related documents. Actively participates in the closing process for real estate acquisitions and dispositions, loan transactions and joint venture transactions. Interfaces with property and corporate associates, buyers and sellers, government authorities, adjacent property owners and outside counsel in connection with real estate legal issues. Primarily focused on acquisitions and dispositions,
