Position Summary
- Provide research and reference services to library patrons, including students, faculty, attorneys, and self-represented members of the public.
- Provide circulation and reserve services.
- Perform administrative tasks, including securing and closing the library and, depending on the shift, opening the library.
Essential Duties
Reference
- Provide reference services to students, faculty, attorneys, and self-represented members of the public.
Circulation Duties
- Provide circulation services to library patrons using the Millennium ILS
Administrative Services
- Assist the Night Manager & Research Specialist in managing the library facility in the evenings
- Help secure the building at closing
- Monitor patron activity
- Perform projects as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Six months to two years of legal experience (Having a law degree (JD) meets this criteria
A Law Degree (JD) or an MLS with legal experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be a team player with a willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).
Work Environment
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
