FT Temporary

Position Summary

Provide circulation services to library patrons, including students, faculty, attorneys, and self-represented members of the public. Processes government documents and serials materials for librarians. Run circulation usage and collection management reports, and participate in stacks maintenance. Administrative tasks may include opening and closing the library. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Circulation Service:

• Check in and check out materials using the Sierra ILS
• Answer questions re. library resources and library rules
• Produce circulation usage and collection management reports

Administrative Services:

• Process government documents and serials materials
• Complete special projects as assigned
• May involve opening and closing the library
• Help with stacks maintenance

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED.
Up to six months experience. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must be a team player with a willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping.  Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds). 

Work Environment

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.  

Salary/Pay Information 

$16.45 per hour/minimum

Anticipated Work Schedule

This is a temporary position working, 9:30am - 6:00pm Monday-Friday, occasional nights and weekends; flexible.
