Release of Information Representative
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for timely response to requests for the release of health information, and answering phone calls, while protecting patient confidentiality. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Answers high volume of calls received in the ROI call center and responds to customers inquires in a polite and courteous manner. Screens, sorts, and prioritizes correspondence/mail and print requests, separating priority versus nonpriority requests for the release of health information. Reviews and screens, all requests for the release of health information for appropriate authorization and disclosures. Adheres to state and federal privacy and security standards and regulation
