Work Hours/Shift: - Full-Time, Monday – Friday
You Will Be Responsible For: Licenses & Permits, New - Leads/co-leads/coordinates with Sr. Manager to create and submit licensure applications as required by project type and State and Federal requirements.
- Actively participates in new projects; facility construction, laboratory, pharmacy, and others.
- Prepares and maintains accurate listing of licenses and permits required by project type and State and Federal requirements.
- Tracks progress of required applications and other regulatory items throughout the construction process
- Resolves and responds to any licensure related issue that may arise as appropriate.
- Serves as an active participant in the new project group meetings and communications.
- Facilitates and coordinates with project team members to identify and resolve licensure issues throughout all phases of the project.
- Communicates with State and Federal agencies as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring required licenses and permits are in place within State or Federal time requirements.
- Creates and maintains electronic record of licensure files and ensures they are accurate and complete.
Licenses & Permits, Existing - Collaborates with Sr. Manager in tracking license renewals for all Hospital, Home Health, Hospice and Laboratory locations in the state of Florida.
- Responsible for ensuring licenses are renewed, submitted and distributed within deadlines.
- Ensures and validates that changes to licensure during the current licensure period are completed and submitted within state mandated timeframes.
- Collaborates with Sr. Manager to submit renewal applications and requirements as requested.
- Leads/ Co-Leads the submission of licensure changes that occur during the current licensure period.
- Reviews licensure legislation for compliance of new licensure requirements.
- Creates and maintains an electronic record of the licensure files.
- Maintains strong relationships with state agencies as needed.
Certificate of Need Applications/Filings - Serves as the project contact, subject matter expert and resource for Certificate of Need filings
- Manages data requests and documents necessary development of CON applications and ensures that information provided is timely and accurate.
- Assures appropriate documents are submitted within regulatory timelines.
- Responsible for tracking and monitoring progress of CON application through development and review processes
- Serve as the designated liaison with CON consultants, attorneys, and AdventHealth leadership.
- Communicates with State agencies as needed.
- Creates and maintains an electronic record of CON applications.
- Actively participates and collaborates with all AdventHealth facilities on CON related projects, strategy discussions and meetings as requested
Certificate of Need Litigation - Actively participates in the planning and preparation of CON hearings.
- Collaborates with CON attorneys to provide accurate discovery requests and/or other requests for production from AdventHealth entities as required.
- Responsible for collaborating with the CON Team and other key AdventHealth stakeholders to compile, manage and review hearing documents
- Assists with organizing the scheduling witness interviews and depositions.
- Attends CON depositions and hearings as requested.
Background screening - Maintain access to Florida’s Agency for Health Care’s online background screening portal to assist with new or existing screening requirements.
Special Projects - Actively researches or shares knowledge of regulatory and licensure requirements for special projects as requested.
- Reviews legislation and/or Florida administrative rules for impact to the health care industry.
- Reviews and submits hospital, home health, and hospice state required proof of liability coverage.
- Researches and provides guidance for additional requests for related to State and Federal regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed with limited supervision.
Qualifications
What You Will Need: - Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Health Planning, Business, Communications or related field
- Three to five years of experience in Health Care, Compliance, Government/Public Relations, or Health Care Regulations
Job Summary: The Regulatory Licensure Manager, working under the direction of the Sr. Manager Regulatory Licensure, manages various facility licensure filings for existing and new AdventHealth facilities. The Regulatory Licensure Manager maintains working relationships with AdventHealth executives, Regulators, State Agencies and other internal and external stakeholders. The Regulatory Licensure Manager, under the direction of the Executive Director Regulatory Administration, is responsible for coordination, preparation, tracking and filing of CON applications in Florida and Multi-State. As a member of the AdventHealth Advocacy and Public Policy team, the Manager proactively recommends and participates in development of proposed legislative and regulatory changes that will improve operations and support our strategic initiatives.
