Job Description The position of Assistant/Associate Director advises and educates JD students and alumni regarding internships and career options upon graduation in the private and public sectors for legal or legal-related positions, fellowships, judicial clerkships and alternative careers. The Assistant/Associate Director will coach advisees through the job search process and train them on related skills (e.g. networking, interviewing, effective application materials). They will also assist the students with aligning academic courses and internships with potential career paths.

Requirements *Assistant - JD degree from accredited law school required and minimum two years of legal experience as a practicing attorney. *Associate - JD degree from accredited law school required. Minimum two years of legal experience as a practicing attorney and minimum three years of career counseling experience *Strong knowledge of best practices, techniques and standards for career counseling, coaching, advising and effective job search techniques, and of the legal and legal-related job market. *High degree of professionalism and customer-service orientation. Excellent listening skills *Proven ability to take initiative and multi-task, and to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment *Outstanding oral and written communication skills including presentation skills *Must have ability to learn and adapt quickly to technology Preferred: *Prior experience in a career services department of a law school or university or in a legal or corporate recruitment setting. *Advanced knowledge of MS Office Platforms and/or Google Suite, social media/LinkedIn, 12Twenty and OSCAR (Online System for Clerkship Application and Review).
