Primary Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs. - Processing payments on invoices and grants
- Verifying and receipting monies transmitted from all departments on campus
- Reconciling daily transactions and balancing cash drawer
- Reviewing and approving refund vouchers
- Collecting delinquent accounts receivable including responding to inquiries for accounts placed with the Kentucky Department of Revenue
- Assisting students with all aspects of the BankMobile refund process while acting as a liaison between WKU and BankMobile.
- Collecting returned checks for the university and working with the County Attorney.
- Maintaining office supplies inventory
- Cashing checks for faculty, staff, and students
- Providing customer service for the front line of the Cashiers and Collections Office including answering phones and responding to emails
- Performing a broad range of administrative duties in support of the Bursar's Office.
- Possible periods of up to 2-4 hours of concentration focused on computer usage

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma plus at least two years of related office experience
- At least two years of experience in bank telling or cashiering or extensive cash handling experience
