Mitchell Hamline's Reentry Clinic (Clinic) is seeking a full-time Staff Attorney/Assistant Teaching Professor to provide representation to justice-involved people. This is a one-year position, with the possibility of more time, depending on grant funding. The Clinic helps individuals burdened with a criminal record fully reenter society by providing holistic legal representation to ensure recently released persons have the best opportunity to live a safe and fulfilling life. This work is on the cutting edge of criminal justice and provides insights into the next wave of restorative justice. The Clinic serves people who are incarcerated, were incarcerated, or were never incarcerated; services include expungements, family unification, entrepreneurial assistance, disability appeals, and more. Responsibilities: - Provide direct representation to clients in administrative hearings and in court;
- Work with certified student attorneys in the Clinics;
- Provide education and training sessions about reentry issues and solutions; and
- Develop and provide assistant and training within the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
