CEB publishes judgments of California case law, practical guidance for attorneys and, CLE all in a variety of practice areas and formats e.g. print, online and, in-person. As Product Manager, Professional Development & MCLE, you will drive the vision, product strategy, and execution for CEB's legal learning products that serve the California legal community. CEB pioneered continuing legal education in California, and continues to be recognized as one of the best. We work with recognized experts throughout the state to create and present important developments and timely analyses across a wide variety of practice areas, specialties, and special requirements. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, including staff content-development attorneys, marketing, sales and development to execute on a roadmap that is a balanced portfolio of big bets, tactical changes, and core refinements on the product & feature portfolio for the CEB legal learning product suite. Your market and customer research, through direct interaction with attorneys across the state, whether solo practitioner or big law partner, will inform how we can increase our ability to best serve the professional development needs of California attorneys. Special Conditions of Employment: Other Special Conditions of Employment: Job Close Date: Duties Duty 1: Collaborate with a cross-functional team of CEB leadership, product management, engineering (internal & development partners and contractors), marketing, sales, content development and finance to drive the building and iterating on successful products and features from idea through delivery to customers. Own the backlog for the products and/or features for which you're responsible, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria. Be the voice of the customer: deeply understand the California legal community, especially attorneys, by conducting market research & customer interviews. Create strategies for how to address identified legal research, content, and workflow problems in innovative ways by understanding what's valuable, usable and feasible using a lean product development methodology. Report on status and performance against established roadmap KPIs. Responsible for the creation and ongoing performance of a particular product line including, but not limited to Learning, Primary Law, Secondary Law, Forms, or Know-How. Function:Product Management Execution and Technical Implementation Percent: 70 Duty 2: Provide Product Management leadership across product development lifecycle. Business case development including MVP definition and launch within time and budget. Identify capabilities and map to product requirements. Build product roadmap and own execution. Create product plans that clearly communicate across the company the product vision and roadmap at both strategic and tactical levels. Establish goals and key performance indicators. Use analytics to drive roadmap decisions. Communicate product vision to internal and external stakeholders. B7. Gain buy-in across organization and key stakeholders for product development. Function:Product Management Leadership Percent: 30 Job Requirements 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3 years as a product manager in a technology company or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with either e-commerce or content/search-based products, preferably in a legal solutions environment . Experience in a fully agile development environment, preferably one with distributed team members in a matrixed environment.
