Coordinate and prepare documents for all loan closings and post closings, ensure compliance and applicable regulations with NLS/NHS direct lending and grant program guidelines, effective internal and external verbal and written communication with all parties involved in the loan closing process, monitor loan closing pipeline and prepare all necessary reports, ensure loan closings, comply with State and Federal regulations.
Coordinate closing appointments with title companies, attorneys, lenders, and borrowers.
Maintain consistent, effective communication with lender, borrower, attorneys, and title companies to establish, and meet the closing date.
Notify NHS Controller and Director Lending Services of projected or scheduled loan closings to ensure funding availability.
Ensure conditions of loan approval are fully executed before closing.
Prepare appropriate documentation including advance instructions regarding loan funding to Title Company. Ensure accuracy and integrity of information.
Prepare monthly closing log for all NHS/NLS loan programs and distribute to all departments
Prepare and ensure accuracy of all post-closing documentation for all loan programs and submit report to Finance. This consists of scanning mortgage documents, entering information for each mortgage on the loan servicer spreadsheet and organizing the 6 sections of physical loan file.
Prepare monthly reports on closed loans.
Design and implement checklists and forms as appropriate and update Encompass information as needed.
Maintain required job skills and core professional competencies to keep current of changes in closing policies and/or regulations. Attend and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Timely scheduling of loan closings.
Provide funding authorization to Title/Escrow Agents
Effective communications with appropriate parties to coordinate loan closings.
Accurate preparation of loan closing packages.
Timely and accurate submission of post closings documentation to Finance and Loan Servicing.
Timely preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
Meet all closing and post-closing deadline.
Experience / Skills required:
Bachelor’s degree required.
2-3 years of loan closing experience preferred, or three years work experience in the mortgage lending industry with two years loan closing experience.
Experience working with Encompass loan software.
Experience with new RESPA/GFE laws preferred.
