The Assistant Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for Harvard Business School Executive Education manages the financial planning and analysis activities for the department, which has revenues of more than $175 million. The Assistant Director manages a Senior Financial Analyst and part-time staff member. The position reports directly to the Managing Director of Finance and Enrollment and Admissions Services and works closely with the entire Executive Education leadership team to develop the budget and forecasts, maintain metrics, and conduct analyses for the business.
Lead Executive Education's monthly dashboard meetings, where the leadership team discusses business performance along several key metrics. Prepare dashboard meeting presentations, presenting key data and insightful analyses for all areas of the business. Write business narrative for distribution to senior management.
Prepare monthly revenue and quarterly revenue and expense forecasts.
Manage Executive Education's annual budget process. Track actual performance against the budget.
Develop program-level P&Ls and pro-forma P&Ls.
Manage the faculty compensation process.
Create financial models and planning scenarios for the leadership team.
Assess business proposals to determine financial feasibility and impacts.
Review contracts, working closely with managers in the department and with attorneys from Harvard University's Office of the General Counsel.
Assist with ad hoc projects, as necessary.
